Remi Tinubu, The First Lady of the federal Republic of Nigeria, has awarded a total of N46 million worth of scholarships to university students facing difficulties in paying their tuition fees.
Remi Tinubu, awarded the prestigious scholarship to the students at the Flag-off of the National Scholarship Programme Of Tertiary Education 2023.
The program is the subsidiary of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) founded by the first lady Remi Tinubu. She awarded Forty-six Nigerian students in tertiary institutions across the country.

The National Scholarship Programme of the Renewed Hope Initiative is a four-year scholarship program of One Million Naira per year and a laptop for each of the beneficiaries.

According to a statement by Busola Kukoy, the first lady’s media aide, recipients of the scholarship were selected from all 36 states in Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory. Additionally, some were recommended by different women’s organizations.
During the Flag-off event, the First Lady extended her congratulations to the recipients, expressing that the grant is one of the measures taken by the program to guarantee that all pupils in the nation receive the adequate education they are entitled to.
She stated that the goal of the National Scholarship Programme (NASP) is to ensure that every child in Nigeria, regardless of their situation, has access to the highest quality education possible.
